Early Word on Available Super Bowl XLI Hotel Rooms

Know somewhere with open hotel rooms for Super Bowl weekend in Miami? Tip us off.

Right around February 2nd or so, 175,000 people will descend onto Miami for the Super Bowl XLI. With 53,000 hotel rooms in Miami alone, the odds are stacked against you finding a room in Miami proper. Already this morning we have heard of people booking as far away as Boca Raton, and odds are people will have to stay even further out the longer they wait to book a room.

However, the good news for you Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts fans is that there are (amazingly) some hotel rooms left in Miami Beach. The bad news is that they usually require a four night minimum and rates are at about $1000 a night. And some of them are not exactly four stars (not even two stars). Nevertheless you have to ask yourself, how bad do you want it? Luckily for you, we've scoured the web for Super Bowl hotel options ever since Peyton's final kneel down late last night, and here are the fruits of our labor. As for getting actual tickets to the game, well you are on your own there.

Super Bowl Hotel Options after the jump

Winterhaven Hotel
14th and Ocean, Miami Beach

This hotel has 21 rooms available at $699 a night. Four-night minimum required and all rooms must be paid upfront, no refunds allowed. Quick note: The hotel was pictured here last week undergoing a bit of construction but the reservations agent assured us all that was done with. Yet we think this is why this oceanfront hotel in South Beach still has rooms available. Call the hotel at 305-531-5571 and ask for the reservations agent.

Beacon Hotel
702 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach

This hotel is listed on the NFL.com's list of hotels in the area which they have bought up in bulk. A deluxe double bed will cost you $904 a night with a minimum of four nights. A king bed goes for $1,034. A $45 processing fee must be paid to NFL.com and the rooms are entirely non-refundable.

Blue Moon Hotel
944 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach.

Another hotel found via NFL.com (which means you pay them a $45 processing fee if you book it) has rooms starting at $755 a night. Again four nights required and no refunds allowed.

Boca Raton Hilton
7920 Glades Road, Boca Raton

So we had initial word that the Conrad (a Hilton brand) in Miami had rooms. But today we found out that ALL the Hiltons in the Miami area are sold out. Your best bet for a Hilton is 25 miles away in Boca Raton where rooms are going for $479 a night. Similarly, other hotel "deals" can be found further out of town and if you're okay with fighting through Miami traffic, then this could be the better hotel option for you.

Parisian
1501 Colllins Ave, Miami Beach

As far as finding a room under $500 in Miami, there is the Parisian. But beware, this hotel has some of the worst reviews possible listed on TripAdvisor. We're talking "nasty rat hole", "the city of Miami should condemn the place", "bed bugs" and "ultimate in nastyness."

Superbowl-rooms.com
This web site has a pretty thorough listing of hotel rooms in the Miami area for the Super Bowl including The Shore Club, Acqualina and Le Meridien Sunny Isles. There's even rooms at a Best Western for under $300 a night but that's in West Palm Beach which is about an hour drive from Miami, not including traffic.

Miami Craigslist
Hotel rooms aren't the only lodging options in South Beach. You can spend a couple thousand a night renting out someone's apartment or you can spend a few hundred a night and sleep on a random stranger's sofabed. Your choice. It all depends on how much you would sacrifice for your favorite team.

    Super Bowl XLI Hotel Rooms

www.14SB.com also have rooms in the $200 range and have some hotels with as few as 2 nights minimum instead of the 4, 5 or 7 nights stay the Super Bowl luxury accommodations demand.  Of course for $200 you probably won't be in the heart of south beach with these superbowl hotels!
