Be careful if you are headed to this DC-area Hilton. A case of norovirus that caused 100 people to fall ill, has forced the Hilton at Dulles Aiport to shut down until Tuesday, while cleaning crews work to sanitize the building.

Health officials in Fairfax County, Va., said guests at the hotel started getting sick Tuesday. Officials said 90 guests and 10 hotel workers began to experience very sudden and intense gastrointestinal symptoms. The hotel contacted Fairfax County's health department and a field team was dispatched to the hotel.

The likely culprit? Improper hand-washing. Ewww....

Re: Hotel Sick Strikes Hilton Dulles Airport

Now probably the cleanest hotel in North America!  When the hotel saw trouble at the hotel they contacted the health department without to seek assistance.   While the norovirus was never officially confirmed, only suspected, the hotel spent over approximately 1.5 million dollars to completely clean every each of their facilities.

They have set up precautionary requirements and cleaning schedules, and even have hand santizing dispensers at each elevator.

This hotel now is without a doubt one of the safest and cleanest hotels you can find ANYWHERE!
