Just in Time For The Super Bowl: Miami Beach Hotels Reportedly Construction Happy

HotelChatter correspondent Michael de Zayas has been speed dating Miami area hotels and posting his takes here, meanwhile, a tipster informs us that the Miami Beach hotel scene is a freakin' mess thanks to overconstruction--just in time for high season and Super Bowl XLI:

Okay the beach is under construction everywhere!

At the Setai the W hotel site winds are blowing the dirt over Setai's pool.

The great new Regent Miami has a new high rise going up next door and they will be digging into the ground for several months and half the rooms/balconies are only 10 feet from it

Delano never finished the bottom 4 floors of the hotel renovation because they were behind schedule

The Tides whole front entrance is boarded up and they just started a huge renovation in season????

The Nicky O hotel is working again so if you stay next door the noise is crazy at Clevelander.

Couple comments, the Setai and W South Beach site are separated by Collins Park (fairly sure about that), so it seems a bit far fetched to think the Setai pool is getting W construction dirt blowback, however, the W construction photo above, taken last month, shows quite a pile of dirt and debris, so there is plenty of W dust around.  Still, the Setai seems a bit far away to be effected,  but if anyone has a Setai photo showing otherwise, please, send it along.

Wait, noise at the Clevelander is unbearable because of Nicky O construction?  That means the Hilton sister hype machine is actually making progress?  Wow.
