Hotels Down Under: A Honeymoon Hotel

Theoretically, if you were to get married in February, Australia would be a perfect place to go on your honeymoon because our winter is their summer. It's also a good place because you have the option of vegging out on a beach but when you get bored of that you can head out to civilization--unlike staying in Fiji somewhere in an overwater bungalow for ten days with your new spouse and lots of fish.

Normally, we would hit up the swankiest spot like the Park Hyatt Sydney (you only get married once, hopefully) but Kate Hudson and the Butterscotch Stallion have tainted that one.

Ditto for the Intercontinental where Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban said "I do."

So where's a newlywed couple to go? A luxury stop could be the Four Seasons Sydney. Since Four Seasons has been consistently winning awards for guest satisfaction, we'll overlook the ridiculous charges for the small things like WiFi.

There's no honeymoon suite offered which we actually take as a good sign since that's sort of cheesy. The Royal Suite is a notch below the Presidential on the 34th floor with views of the city and the harbour and includes a master bedroom, a sitting room, dining room, a dressing room, a full marble bathroom and a guest powder room.

As far as special services for newlyweds, the hotel only says this, "We can help you craft every unforgettable detail." They also offer a spa treatment in a suite especially for couples which includes two massage tables, a hydrotherapy bath, a steam room and shower.

However to avoid staying here, you may have to skip on having a wedding entirely.
