Tribeca Grand Hotel Offers 12 Inches of Snow

As you are probably well aware, we spent a night at the Tribeca Grand Hotel this week.

While we probably won't have a full blown review of our stay published until Monday, in the spirit of Fashion Week Hotel Porn week here at HotelChatter we wanted to let you know immediately that the Tribeca Grand Hotel is definitely on the where not to watch hotel porn.

In the past people have asked us why we care so much about hotel televisions, after all shouldn't we be out enjoying our new surroundings.  Here is the deal, we look at hotel stays as an escape from our boring everyday lives.  That means we want the television in the hotel to be better than the one we have at home.  A 13" tube television with built-in VHS functionality isn't going to cut it for watching You, Me, and Dupree, let alone hotel porn.  Does anyone tote around VHS tapes these days?  

Furthermore, when we turned on television we were treated to about 12" of snow.  That's right the Tribeca Grand television didn't get any reception.  We didn't have time to call down to the front desk to see what was up, it could have been something real simple--point is, guests expect their television to work.

Suffice it to say, the Tribeca Grand Hotel is not a place where you are going to want to settle in for a long night of hotel porn viewing, unless of course you want to stare at 12 inches of snow.
