UPDATE: A commenter so delicately pointed out that we wrong in implying the Taj was open for business in the 80s. Our apologies. We promise to retake the "Fucking Jersey" quiz.

We though that the Trump Taj Mahal closed when the 80s ended but thanks to a recent Flickr photo, we learn the place still exists.

Unfortunately, the place is lacking in some restaurant service.

Our experience with the food was not good. We were given a coupon for a free breakfast buffet at the Sultan Feast. Terrible. Biscuits, gravy, meat were all cold.

Asked for coffee that never arrived and waiter never returned. So we tried the Bombay Cafe for dinner - also another big mistake. Gentlemen at the entrance was rude because we did not know to go by him to a hostess-a real jerk. Once again the food was not very good. We did eat at the Hard Rock and their food was good but the music was so loud we could not talk.

    Well, we know you have no credibility. The Taj wasn't even OPEN in the 80's so how could it be closed them---and YOU'RE a "jersey girl" HA.

    I know you wrote this a year ago--but for those interested, the Taj has had a makeover--maybe to keep up with the Borgata, who knows, who cares.. it's looking better and YOUNGER!!!

    Be aware of this person's posts.. she's not accurate!

    Ok so the Taj opened in 1990 but I just associate Trump with the 1980s. My bad.

    Really, there's no reason for hostility here. If you have news on the hotel renovations--pictures are even better!--then send them to us, so we can do an updated post on the Taj.

    And in fact, I was just in AC last week. The outside of the Taj looked the same so when you say makeover, you are talking about the rooms right?

    And FYI, that review about restaurant service came from a guest who stayed there and posted to TripAdvisor.

    Hey cynleenon why don't you tell us a bit about yourself before you start tearing into people.  Leaves a bad taste in everyones mouth when your first ever comment is so caustic dontcha think?

    Oh,and why oh why do I get the feeling you are somehow associated with the Taj?  Are you?  My guess is you won't even be back to answer that question.  Yeah the date was wrong, but jeez, take it easy and keep the comments constructive k?
