The End of Summer Hotel Deals: Mandalay's Selective Summer Bliss

As summer winds down, hotels are offering their last helping of deals. This week we'll be letting you know where you can get a discounted stay before Labor Day. But remember, rates are subject to change.

It used to be that Las Vegas had problems drawing crowds during the dog days of summer simply because people could not take the desert heat.

Not anymore these days. Vegas is almost always busy on the weekends which means less deals are abound during August. If you do find a deal, the dates you can stay are probably pretty very limited.

Such is the case with the Mandalay Bay's Summer Bliss package.

Rates are advertised at $119.95 a night with a $30 off coupon for a Mamma Mia ticket and other freebies, but as August draws to a close, there are few dates where that date actually applies. However, August 13th (this Sunday) rooms are available for $99 a night. The following Sunday is $119.95 and the week after that jumps up to $129.95.

Rates are slightly higher during the week and forget about weekends where rates bump up to $200 plus.
