HotelChatter:
What about unusual packages or parties?
Allen Oakley:
Well, the Parrot Heads love us, you know, the Jimmy Buffet fans. We're hosting a 10th anniversary party for the Parrot Heads Club of Las Vegas and in October when Jimmy Buffett plays at MGM Grand, we are doing a pre and post-concert party. We have over 100 rooms booked now and expect to have 200 rooms by the end of the month.
HotelChatter:
Any crazy things happen during these parties?
Allen Oakley:
We did have a group of guys that we set up with a golf package. We made them reservation at the Revere golf course, had limos take them out there and then when they were done, took them to the Scores strip club. The guys ended up partying there until 8am the next morning and we just had the limo pick up at the strip club and take them to their next round of golf. They played again in the same clothes they were wearing the day before and were drinking the whole time.
HotelChatter:
Kinky! What other types of add-ins can you provide?
Allen Oakley:
Like I said, we can do anything by law. It just depends on what they want. But we can throw in cigars for the group, we can have pre-ordered buckets of beer waiting in the rooms when they get to the hotel. We can have Hooter cakes made, which is in the shape of a Hooters girl torso. We can set up a VIP section by the pool next to Nippers, our pool bar, for about $200/$250 a day. We don't have cabanas here, but we might for next year. I can also set them up for events at other hotels like the Sahara which has the Drive behind it where they can race cars. They do have to take a breathalyzer to do that so I advise them to do this first before anything else.

HotelChatter:
What about room accommodations? Are these included in the package?
Allen Oakley:
No, but if you are staying at the hotel and doing a package with your friends, we can give you a really nice rate. We'll hook you up there. If people want a nice room when they do the packages, we offer them our presidential suite which has a pool table, jacuzzi, living room area. You also don't need to be a guest at the hotel to use our Build-a-Bash service. Places like the Bellagio really can't accommodate a bachelor party from start to finish so if you want to stay there but party here, we can do that.
HotelChatter:
What's the basic minimum a package costs?
Allen Oakley:
It's our VIP treatment which is $30 a person and gets you a VIP check-in, a reserved seat at Porch Dogs, extra attention from our Hooters Girls, limo rides and little extras like cigars. Anything else you want after that, the price varies depending on what you ask for.
HotelChatter:
So how did you end up with such a job at Hooters?
Allen Oakley:
I actually used to do sales & marketing for the old San Remo Hotel & Casino. I was one of the fortunate ones who was kept on when Hooters took over. And I have to say, I have one of the best jobs in Vegas.
HotelChatter:
And do the party people ever let you in on their fun?
Allen Oakley:
Well, every now and then I go to Scores, but just to check-in on them. I mean, I have to know they are having a good time right?
