W Hotels Add Second Atlanta Spot

W Hotels continues its global expansion by announcing a second Atlanta property that will open in 2007.

The chain already has a location at the Perimeter Center but the new hotel will open in midtown in the former Sheraton Colony Square. The Sheraton was bought from Starwood Hotels by Noble Investment Group and AEW Capital Management LP for $48.5 million. About another $50 million will go towards renovating the spot into a W Hotel.

Yawn. We like it better when the W announces their plans to build hotels in the Middle East.
