Jason Pomeranc Probably Not A Teenage Dad

Gawker has posted photographic evidence that hotelier Jason Pomeranc has a son named Ami, but we are highly doubtful this is true.

We have it on pretty good authority that Jason Pomeranc was 34 in the year 2005. For practical purposes, let's assume that the alleged spawn of Jason Pomeranc was 21 when this Flickr photo was taken, which seems like a fair guess at least to us. That means Pomeranc the elder would have been a proud papa at 14.

Somehow, we doubt that if Jason was raising a child and going through puberty at the same time he would have been able to open 60 Thompson, redo the Hollywood Roosevelt, become a movie producer, all before the age of 35. Plus, this Ami dude looks nothing like Pomeranc. On the other hand, the demands of raising a twenty year old in Manhattan sure would explain the long delays over at Six Columbus. Furthermore, if dude was opening boutique hotels before he was 30, why the hell couldn't he by fathering children at 14--think about it.

Update: Well it looks like Gawker is now saying the kid in the photo is Ami Pomerantz, no idea that is...but it sounds about right.
