If [you] can find a supplier in Mexico that can supply me Kama Sutra products for $35 USD please let me know and I will gladly drop the price of our Lovers Package. You should take these things into consideration before you write potentially damaging reviews without the correct information.
We do not have 'disco music pumping' until 2am every night. Yes music is a huge part of our concept and we do host Fiesta En La Playa one night a week where we draw guests that come for the parties from all over the world, not just the USA. Have you stayed at Mezzanine? Did you hear pumping disco music every night? If you looked at the information on our web site you would have noticed the message stating our parties return in August. We do not host the parties during June and July.
We are in a remote area of Mexico where there are no power lines or telephone lines. We rely on microwave connection for our internet and cellular phones to connect with the rest of the world. These services are not always reliable but we do the best we can.
At the beginning of June we installed a wireless credit card facility. We have not advertised this on our web site as yet as we are still test driving it so that we avoid any problems with our clients. This will make Mezzanine one of the few business along the coast that accepts credit cards.
Yes we do request a 50% deposit to secure a reservation. We have only four rooms and a lot of people serious about staying with us. Asking for a deposit deters people who frivolously make reservations, without really committing to them. You will find that this is common practice with the hotels in this area and many of the other hotels ask for full payment to secure a reservation. Here is an example from one of our neighboring hotels, Azulik.
We do not refund money to people who simply change their minds at the last minute but we do refund deposits for such occurrences like hurricanes. If you have ever made a reservation inquiry with us you would know we have a lot of email / phone contact prior to a reservation confirmation answering any concerns a potential guest may have staying in an environment like Tulum.
I guess I am basically making a suggestion that you gather all the information before you post a potentially damaging comment. It's just like we advertise, it is a Lovers Package, not a Lovers Bargain. We are not a hotel in the US and our clientele are not solely from the US.
Kind regards,
Kattrina Taylor
