Hotel Roosevelt and Entourage, Separated at Birth?

If you are an Entourage watcher you may have noticed last night's episode was filmed poolside at Hotel Roosevelt.
Turns out HBO's Entourage, which has been limping along this season, and the beleaguered Hollywood hotel have more in common than you might think.
Both were once hot properties with a lot of buzz that elicited a "love it" or "hate it" reaction from the general public that have recently become boring (Ari constantly yelling Lloyd and Hotel Roosevelt constantly yelling Jessica Simpson). Both eventually introduced bit players (Hotel Roosevlet = Amanda Demme and Entourage = Dom) that announced their shark jumpingness in loud neon lights. Both canned the aforementioned bit players (Teddy's is closed and there has been no sign of Dom for weeks), and most importantly to enjoy either HBO's Entourage or Pomeranc's Roosevelt Hotel you have to completely worship the concept of suspension of disbelief.
That said, it is completely apropos that on a night where an actor turns down $12.5 MM as a matter of principal, and E has a hot, girlfriend initiated threesome, Hotel Roosevelt plays the role of back drop. What does this mean? If you are going to sit down and enjoy HBO's Entourage you are going to have to realize it is a fantasy program with no reality peg what-so-ever. Furthermore, we suggest if you are going to stay at Hotel Roosevelt, you take the same tact. That is, realize it is nothing more than a celebrity playground. Don't expect much in the way of service, comfort, or unlimited access to the pool.
Bottom line is last night's Entourage episode saved the season and just may have piqued our long dormant interest in Hollywood's Hotel Roosevelt.
