Howard Johnson Needs the Orkin Man

We realize that it takes tremendous efforts on the part of hotels to upkeep cleanliness, polite and a helpful staff, amenities that we need, and so and so forth. But that is their job. There is simply no excuse to fall below par. When it comes to insects, the only place they belong is outside. Never, ever should they be found inside a hotel, a place where one pays money to stay.

Now just because Kissimmee, Florida is one giant vat of insects, still does not justify on any level the reason for a hotel to include them in their confines. Unfortunately, the Howard Johnson in Kissimmmee is not aware of this or they simply do not care; there are several reviews of bugs (notice the plural) claiming the rooms that you are paying for:

We waited a year to go to this holiday when we arrived we could not believe it it was the hotel from our worst nightmares. The room smelled of dampness,bugs all over the room, the bedding was stale. It was something you see on holidays from hell on the television. Had to stay for 2 nights then was moved on to a great clean healthy hotel. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL IT IS YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE.

One experience of a hotel room full of bugs is bad enough, but when a hotel racks up numerous of these complaints, it is time to look into it, or said building may end up being used as a stunt building on Fear Factor.
