During our little jaunt to Vegas, we spotted Anne Heche and her husband Coley Laffoon in line at the new Cirque du Soleil show, LOVE, at the Mirage which is based on the music and life of The Beatles.

How did we first spot Heche? Actually, we heard some loud woman chattering on and on while we were in the bathroom. When we exited the bathroom, which was next to the box office, we saw that Heche was the loud woman we had heard and she was waiting to get her tickets.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to hear much of what she was saying but she certainly did nothing to dispel those crazy notions we've had about her (like when she was found in Bakersfield, Calif. talking about a spaceship.)

However, Heche and her hubby did not pull any "Do you know who we are" sort of acts, actually waiting in line with the rest of us normal folk to get candy.

As for the show itself, Cirque du Soleil has gone in a completely different direction here with LOVE than with its other shows. We aren't going to pretend that we are expert theater critics, but we will say that even though the show is very enjoyable (who doesn't love the music of the Beatles?) we were disappointed that there were few death-defying acrobatics that we come to expect from Cirque.

And if you are claustrophobic, there's almost a good five minutes when the audience is draped with a parachute/tent-like thing that you are expected to hold up yourselves (Don't ask why, we still don't know what it was for.)

Another thing is that the theater staff, like the ticket takers, ushers and snack-bar clerks are forced to wear ridiculous 60s outfit like psychedelic shirts, Buckinham Palace Guard outfits, and police  "bobbies" uniforms. They are also forced to speak with British accents despite their nametags which say their hometown like "Lisa, Las Vegas."

But they make-up for it with their friendly cheer and the LOVE body stamps they offer to put on your hands, arms, necks and yes, your chests.
