Hotel Websites: JDV's Friendly Hotel Matchmaker

This week we'll be reviewing the good, the bad and the ugly hotel websites out there today. A good website usually means it's easy to navigate, has lots of information and you can book a reservation without hassle. A bad website is just the opposite and makes you not want to stay at the hotel. We can't get to them all so let us know if there's a particular site you love or loathe and we'll investigate.
JDV Hospitality has made their website different from most hotel websites with Yvette, the Hotel Matchmaker. By filling out a short personality test with questions like "What kind of people do you most connect with?" and "What kind of environment best suits you?", Yvette comes up with a list of JDV Hotels that she thinks you will like, complete with prices and a booking link. (Her top choice for us was the Hotel Bijou in San Fran.)
If you aren't sold on Yvette's choices, real people/city locals appear to tell you what their favorite spots are and what types of things there are to do. Yvette also lists her own favorites for things to do.
Aside from Yvette, we also like the in-depth photos and information for each JDV Hotel, the Top 5 Reasons to stay at their hotels (for the Bijou, it's the free double feature of SF Films shown daily in their theater), and Top 5 Unique Things to Do in the area near the hotel.
Sure, its a little cheesy but its refreshing to visit a hotel website with personality that's not all crammed with flash features or annoying techno beats.
