The Colonnade Hotel in Boston boasts the city's only rooftop pool.

RTP as it's called, is a go-to scene in town in the summer with prime cityscape views and of course, a bar.

For those of you simultaneously concerned about noise and fresh air when staying over, the joint just underwent a big renovation of its guestroom windows so that each room has floor to ceiling sound-proof windows that open.

On the flip side the hotel has a bit of a wireless access problem:

You get the picture, not anywhere near a 4-star hotel. Guestroom WiFi is contracted out to Guestlinx and is quite expensive - $39.95 for 3-days. It worked the first night, then the entire system went down; I spent a long time dealing with the outsourced automated system before getting to a human being in India or somewhere on a connection so bad he could not hear me and hung up. I had to start over. again, not 4-star service.

So don't plan on doing work by the pool.

So - perhaps we're a bit slow to respond ... the review was written in 2006 (ouch). While we never contracted with a company called Guestlinx - we're willing to give the reviewer the benefit of the doubt and are seriously sorry for the experience. Prior to our 20 million dollar reinvention - we upgraded all of our wireless and wired hubs, ensuring a fast and reliable connection every time!

Please give us another shot! Also, it's important to note that contrary to the reviewer's suggestion, you should definitely plan on doing work at the pool - it's fully wireless and what's better than playing solitaire while drinking a strawberry daiquiri at Roof Top Pool?

You guys bought rooftoppool.com -- I think that is kind of cool and interesting.  Did you have to pay a lot for it?  Are you seeing traffic from it?  Just curious.
