Here's a great idea for you...if you're loaded that is. Travel + Leisure recently reviewed Connecticut's Mayflower Inn and Spa calling it a "pilgrim's paradise". Our thoughts? Well this pilgrim would have to be a really spoiled pilgrim from the future that actually knows what Reiki yoga is and carrot-cardamom couscous with Pacific halibut.

Damn, we don't even know what all the amenities are in this pricey retreat:

Every room is an antidote to urban stress. Each allows you to unwind in a relaxed and sensual environment complete with deeply comfortable feather topped mattress, Tabriz rugs, enormous marble bathrooms wainscoted in luxurious mahogany, with brass and Limoges fittings, as well as our signature welcoming orchid.

This resort also has nature lectures, pilates, a full-service spa, and above all complete relaxation as the grounds are garden perfection and the Inn is beyond charming. Apparently, it was the inspiration behind the "Gilmore Girls" as well.

But considering the weekend package rate starts at $1850, we're going to have a hard time relaxing as we watch our money blow away in the wind.
