We think there's a very good reason why Team Italia has chosen the Landhaus Milser as the team's home base during the World Cup.

The hotel has an Italian restaurant inside called Marcellino's, so the team doesn't have to go without their comfort food.

As for the rest of the hotel, with the web site in German we had to dig around to discover that the four-star hotel is located on a lake in Duisberg and has its own beer garden.

But the rooms look a little sparse and the hotel has some weird connection to 1984 Olympic weight-lifting medalist Rolf Milser.

If anyone reads German, let us know what that's about.
