The Gramercy Park Hotel is just two months away from opening and while we firmly believe the hotel will make its August 8 opening date, these recent pictures of 2 Lexington do give us reason to be concerned.

Ian Schrager is no Jason Pomeranc but since he's simultaneously renovating 50 Gramercy Park into condos which are a part of the hotel, perhaps that's slowing him down.

And that whole key-to-the-park snafu probably took up some precious time too.

Either way, we've seen hotels go from looking much worse than this at 60 days out to becoming a stylish and functioning joint in less time. Let's hope that's the case here.
