Hotel Chelsea's Living With Legends blog is written by two of the long-term residents there about the daily life at the hotel, which does accept regular hotel guests as well. This is an honest brash blog sans any involvement from hotel management, so what you read is the real deal on the hotel for better or for worse.

Most often times, it's for the worse with posts highlighting the not-so-desirable aspects of those who frequent this historic bohemian spot. While other hotels (like Thor the blog points out) are eager to jump in on the open-bath trends, Living with Legends says that Hotel Chelsea has been peeking in on its bohemians guests for quite some time. One woman in the lobby recently was overheard saying:

I stayed here 15 years ago and I know all about the perverts in the walls! They would be on the balconies and the fire escapes when I was changing! They was filmin' me in the shower, these fucking pervert tenants you got here! I know about the passage ways in the walls...and the peepholes!"

Passageways in the walls? Man, we can't wait to stay there. It could be like a secret underground railroad for Peeping Toms. Let's just hope that this "feature" doesn't show up in the next W Hotel.
