2006 is not the Year of the Pomeranc

So Six Columbus is now expected to open sometime this fall and a reader lets us know just what might be the reason for the hold up:

Maybe the renovation of Six Columbus is taking so long because I noticed that their construction crew, after gutting the hotel, had no chute coming from their hotel. Instead, they have garbage cans. Yes, I saw them bringing garbage cans, one at a time to the dumpster in front of the building. I work next door, and month after month they were still emptying those garbage cans - the size that I use for summer family picnic....to gut an entire hotel. There was no way this hotel would be opening in August. My money is on Spring 2007 and that is being optimistic.

And don't look west for sunnier Pomeranc updates, the Thompson Beverly Hills doesn't look like it will be happening anytime soon, as this recent reader picture shows, the property is still a Best Western. Needless to say we doubt this hotel will make the fomerly anticipated Fall 2006 opening date.

Add in the drama of The Sagamore, and it doesn't look like 2006 is going Pomeranc's way at all.
