[UPDATE: The winner of the Trump Million Dollar Invitational will actually not be announced until the ESPN telecast on July 2nd. Previously, we presumed Chad Ginn won the payout but he's only one of ten finalists right now.]
Each year, Donald Trump offers $1 million to the golfer who can best "survive under the most extreme pressure on one of the world's most demanding courses."
Where might this course be? The Raffles Resort on Canouan Island in the Grenadines. The hotel is the host of the Trump Million Dollar Invitational held in May. This year's winner of the 54-hole event was Chad Ginn who scored a total of 206 after three rounds on the resort's Trump International Golf Course. He had the best score of the ten finalists heading into the final round, but the winner of the $1 Million will not be revealed until the ESPN telecast on July 2nd.
Located in the south-eastern Caribbean, the Raffles is 300 acres of secluded beaches, surrounded by one of the worlds' largest coral reefs. Each of the rooms are no less than 560 square feet and all have private covered patios or terraces with lounge chairs and prime views of the beach and sea.
The hotel setup is much like that of an amphitheater surrounding the bay and with levels of lodging named Mezzanine and Orchestra. However, this golf luxury resort is steep. During the summer rates start at $455 and increase to $545 for November and December.
But the best part is that you don't have to play golf to cruise around in a golf cart--they give one to every guest.
