The other problems I had with our stay:
· The room floor plan was not as shown online. We had wanted 2 ensuite bathrooms with tubs, we got 2 bathrooms (only 1 was ensuite) but only 1 had a tub (both had gorgeous slate walk-in showers).
· For the price paid at TWELVE (and 15% tax), you expect free breakfast and parking. No such deal. Luckily there is a small supermarket adjacent to the hotel, which we used to supply the well-equipped kitchen in our hotel room. Parking is extremely inconvenient unless you use valet service. Self-parking is $14 every 24 hours.
· Heavy construction noise starts at 7:30am. Jackhammer sounds carry well up concrete walls! Atlantic Station is under construction for another year or so but the hotel can't do much about that.
But TWELVE is extremely well appointed, the Fitness Room and Hotel Club were great amenities. There is a free shuttle bus that circulates to IKEA and the High Art Museum subway station. We wandered the Lobby lounge and restaurant but never saw crowds before 8-9ish.
The GHOST system was useful. You can check your hotel account bill online, leave a customer satisfaction survey, and access a web browser. The granite, bamboo floors, down bedding, 3 flat screen TVs, soundproofing, and discreet housekeeping were luxurious touches.
Overall its a great place to stay if you have an Atlantic Station destination, but it has teething problems.
