Six Columbus
v., six columbused, six columbusing, six colubuses
To be infinitely delayed, move incredibly slowly, or renovate through smoke and mirrors.
Yup, today is the summer solstice, which means Six Columbus is open, or opening soon, right? Hardly.
Today a reliable source--the front desk at 60 Thompson--told us that Six Columbus will not be taking reservations until "sometime this fall". We think this officially makes this the longest Manhattan hotel project we have ever covered. Good God Pomeranc, at this point if you want to impress us every room better have sound proof walls of solid gold with fourty-two inch plasma screens hanging on them.
Not only have we anointed six colmbus as a verb, be we have also put up a page dedicated to following the action, or lack there of, over at Six Columbus. If happen to walk by the property, or stay in a non-renovated room, take a photo, upload it to Flickr and tag it "Six Columbus Hotel". Follow those instructions and your photo will appear on our new Six Columbus page.
Not enough hot Pomeranc action for you? We will be back tomorrow to bring you even more news from Camp Jason. Stay tuned.
