W Loves Your Pets... For A Fee, Of Course

June 19, 2006 at 4:57 PM | by | Comments (0)

W Hotels will do anything for your pet when you book a room at one of their hotels.

Indeed the boutique chain offers a Welcome Packet for your four-legged friend that includes:

·Pet toy
·Pet treat
·W Hotels pet tag
·Clean-up bags
·Welcome letter with information about special pet services available through Concierge and a list of items available at Whatever/Whenever.

Also, the hotel provides a special bed, food and water bowls, and various dog and cat services ranging from walks to grooming and veterinarian services.

This sounds great and so animal-friendly but we hate how every W promotion seems like a fantastic special service but when you read the fine print, it's really just another way to spend more money at the hotel:

Please be advised that the room rate with a pet is $25 above the room charge plus a non-refundable $100 cleaning fee.

So one night housing your pet in the hotel will cost ya $125 and that doesn't include any of the services that you may want to indugle in for your pet. And God forbid your dog tries to use the hotel's internet service.
