There's nothing ambiguous about this deal at the swanky Hermitage Hotel in Nashville. Valet parking, WiFi, and a dinner sure to impress.

We often make fun of dubious hotel package deals that don't add up, so it gets our attention when one is straightforward and easy to justify. The Hermitage Hotel is one of the premiere properties in the south, where Oprah, Spielberg, and six presidents have spent the night. So rates and amenities are geared to those who can travel in style. (Or are well-funded state government lobbyists.) The "Capitol Grill Package" is worth a bite however: for a tad more than the regular rate, you get the room, free valet parking (worth $20) and a $100 food and drinks credit at the Capitol Grille--the best restaurant downtown, located in the hotel.

The room photo here is no wide-angle, touched-up trickery either. The standard rooms are a spacious 475 square feet. At a luxury hotel of this stature, we're used to getting reamed on all the extras, but here they'll even throw in free wi-fi. Southern hospitality indeed.
