Of all the new hotel restaurants in New York, Gilt was recognized by Travel + Leisure as a place to try.

The restaurant is inside the New York Palace Hotel where Le Cirque used to be and is helmed by 29-year-old chef Paul Liebrandt, who was once criticized for blindfolding diners but "has learned the value of a modicum of restraint." Except when it comes to his dishes like a passion fruit-marshmallow amuse-bouche and a green-apple lemon-verbena sorbet with a crunchy fleur de sel.

When you're done with all that, try deciding which tea is best for your after-dinner drink since there's 63 to choose from. Or just order coffee. But either way, you're probably feel a little bit of the other guilt as dinner for two will cost at least $150.
