How could we possibly hate a hotel that says, "If we were any more Hollywood, our pool would be shallow at both ends."
This is the opening tag line of the Sunset Marquis web site. A hideaway in the Hollywood Hills, this hotel has hosted all major players in the Brangelina/Vaughniston scandal.
Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob stayed there when they were into wearing each other's blood in a vial around their neck. Brad Pitt was protected from prying paparazzi eyes as he negotiated his divorce settlement. Then Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn got revenge with their first hookup here.
Back in the 1960s, the hotel was partnered up with Hugh Hefner and Playboy, has hosted numerous rock and rollers through the years, and in a B-list note, Harry Connick met his wife, Jill Goodacre, by the pool.
It's also where Courtney Love once wrote an apology note to husband Kurt Cobain and daughter Frances Bean--a copy of which (on hotel stationary) will appear in Love's memoir this November and it's the name of one of her new album songs.
We just hope Baby Brangelina makes a stop there soon.
