Do & Co Hotel Pleases Bitter Bostonian

Just Added: Do & Co Hotel Mapping Hottness
Another find courtesy of the T & L Hotel Issue. This time our hotel noses are pointed in the direction of Do & Co Hotel in Austria, a 45-room design hotel that occupies the top four floors of local architect Hans Hollein's stone-and-glass structure.
The location, right across the street from St. Stephen's Cathedral smack dab in the middle of Vienna, is top notch.
Turns, out not only does T&L like Do & Co, but a recent guest from Boston agreed with the travel glossy:
The staff are young and very professional. They were always delighted to help and the manager was seemingly everywhere at once with a very warm smile. The guest rooms are very modern but in a carefully conceived and expertly crafted sense, not just a bunch of glass and shiny surfaces. The room size is perhaps small (compared to typical US hotels) but not cramped at all.
The bed was very comfortable with lovely down duvet and pillows. There is a lovely and very comfortable sofa. The bathroom is interesting in that it is a three part affair (toilet, vanity and shower) flexibly composed of glass and movable teak louvers. (Yes, you can even open the louvers so you see across the bedroom into St. Stephanplatz while being deluged by a huge overhead shower). The room decor is high style with lots of teak, suede and glass but is also very comfortable. Nice pluses are a full B+O plasma TV, DVD and integrated sound system as well as a small but adequate desk with high speed internet access.
About the only negative to point out is that because of the location on a pedestrian mall, taxi's will drop you off about 100 yards from the hotel entrance which is a bit of a hassle. On the other hand there is a Ubahn stop directly outside the hotel door.
Boston folks are usually quick to complain about, um, most things, so we hold this visitor's opinion in high regard.
