If you're like 99.9 percent of the Parisian population, now is the time that you should start planning your southern France getaway for the month of August.

For those of you who aren't Parisian or loaded with cash, Hotel Napoleon is your realistic counterpart. Seventy-nine euros a night on the Riviera? Count us in. (Who said you had to be tres riche?)

This ridiculously charming hotel in Menton offers views that are straight out of the retro cartes postales of the 50s.

The interior however isn't so retro. The place has been recently renovated, turning the rooms into the anti-French country: simple and contemporary. But wait, back to the retro again. The place does feature its very own ice cream parlor making it ooze in charm as much as it does in dairy.

For an extra $18.00 a day you can up your level of chicness by reserving yourself a private beach slot outside the hotel. Note: this also includes an accompanying cute cabana boy/French waiter at hand (+2 more points.)
