Google Earth Hotels: Balazs's Rooftop

The Brent Building in downtown LA has quite a history. Built in 1952 it was the headquarters of the Superior Oil Company until 1963, when it became the Bank of California headquarters. However, the building was more widely known for moonlighting as Perry Mason's office on the hit television show of the same name. These days, the building is the Downtown LA Standard, a hotel we credit for helping to start the now ever urban-present rooftop hotel pool scene.

However, despite the cool pool, to date, didn't think the pool was enough to get this LA hotel on our Hollywood Hotel Star Map:

And the other Standard [Downtown LA Standard] is in downtown Los Angeles and no rooftop pool can ever make that area cool.

However, we are fairly sure we found the Downtown LA Standard on Google Earth. While the marker may be a little ways off, we know a Balazs rooftop anywhere--um, we think.
