Bad Rate: Tides Hotel

Like the rest of hotels in Miami, the Tides has dropped their prices for the summer, offering offering oceanfront rooms for $259 as part of their Summer in the City deal.

And while the price is not outrageously high, the hotel might not honor your room.

My husband and I were to arrive this Friday May 5th but I received a phone call on May 1st saying that the hotel was overbooked and we were being re-accommodated down the street at the "Betsy Ross" hotel.

This is actually not that surprising since the hotel consistently fails to live up to guests' expectations, so your $259 might be better spend somewhere else.
