Good Rate: Ibis Hotels in Paris

[Ed. Note: Welcome to our Good Rate/Bad Rate feature, where we pick two hotels in the same city and decide which one is better worth your hard-earned benjamins. This screenshot was taken May 2, 2006 and rates are subject to change. Enjoy.]
If you plan on Ibis Hotels in Paris, you can be certain you won't break your bank. Rooms typically start at 79 Euros, although some Parisian locations start at 49. However, don't expect too much other than clean, modern rooms.
One recent guest has the real scoop on staying at the Ibis Hotel Sacre Coeur:
Firstly don't expect the Ritz cos obviously it's not. it's a budget hotel at the end of the day but it's deffinately worth the £53 per night.
We got a room on the 8th floor and the room was more than adequate for our needs. Yes the shower was a bit pokey and the room decor was a bit plain and void of some character - but we had a clear view of the Eiffel tower and a tiny little balcony to sit at once we opened both outer doors.
The only real downer was that the hotel's lift is extremely small and can only fit at most three people.
