The Beverly Hilton gets major points for being the annual host of the Golden Globe Awards. Built by Conrad Hilton, then bought by Merv Griffin, the hotel has landed in the hands of Beny Alagem, who plans on doing some major reconstruction, which might include the removal of beloved Trader Vics.
Pretty much anyone who has ever been someone
in Hollywood has stayed or attended an event here. (Seeing Stars has the complete list.)
But yet nothing too scandalous has happened on these grounds, except for the fact that the building's facade has remained an eyesore for quite some time.
