Design Hotels Offer Weekend Hipsters More Space

Rarely do hotels ever offer weekend deals so this one from Design Hotels is special.
From June 30 to September 10, weekend guests at one of the 34 Design Hotels get a free upgrade upon booking. When you can book a "superior" room and get upgraded to a "deluxe" or book a deluxe and get upgraded to a suite. (In normal English, "superior" is, well, superior, but in hotel-speak it means "superior to sleeping in the hallway.")
There is one caveat though--you have to stay at least two nights. Still it's a good way to act privileged without actually doing anything extra to be treated like a V.I.P.
The hotel chain has 16 participating locations, mostly in Europe but a few properties in Bali and Vietnam as well. One of the chain's notable properties is the Setai in Miami Beach but sadly this is not a participating hotel.
Booking on the web site could be tricky as apparently artists who design beatiful but uncomfortable furniture are apparently in charge of the web design--the site is a puzzle to navigate. We suggest calling their toll-free reservation number instead.
