Los Angeles magazine has given its readers a tip on traveling to New York City with kids in their 52 Dream Weekends issue.

At The Hotel Beacon on the Upper West Side, even standard rooms come with fully-equipped kitchenettes that include a microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, and tea kettle.

Opting for a one-bedroom suite gets a living room with a pull out sofa bed and can sleep four. The two-bedroom suite has two baths, plus the living room with sofa and can sleep six. There's also killer views as the shot above from the 25th floor demonstrates.

Plus, if you are traveling with kids, the Upper West Side is as family-friendly as you can get, and most kid-friendly tourist stuff is nearby. Rates are from $210 to $270.

Perhaps Charlie Sheen and his cheerleaders could have used the extra room if they booked here.
