Amazing Race 9 Hotel Report: Sausage Fest in Sicily

Where: Viale Mazzini 12, Siracusa, Sicily, Italy, 96100

We still haven't gotten over the naked, tanorexic, homoerotic pics of Team Eric and Jeremy with Team BJ and Tyler.

So while we couldn't think of anything but those pictures while watching last night's episode, we were hoping that the pics would give the show a ratings boost.

USA Today reports Amazing Race has hit a viewership low of 9.2 million hence the move to the Wednesday at 8pm.

Now all of the family can enjoy the ambigously gay fun!

That said, the pit stop was Siracusa, Italy and the hotel pickings are slim there. The best bet would probably be the Grand Hotel Siracusa

One guest called it the "Best in Syracuse" (that's the English translation) citing the nice rooms, views of the ocean, and proximity to places. But service is well...Italian.

Unfortunately. the staff is very rude. [T]he AC was broken on the 2nd and 3rd floors. After being shuffled around and without luggge for several hours, the hotel suddenly came up with single level 1st floor rooms. Ours was beautiful - and well air conditioned. Unfortunately, it was like pulling teeth to move to one - let alone find out that they existed. Other room mentions: only one outlet, English TV included CNN and a movie (WOW!), nice honors bar, and great WiFi.

Our ears perked up at great WiFi. Would you work in sweaty heat for free internet? We probably would.

Rooms start at 155 Euros.
