Allen Street: Construction but not much of it

When we were done seeing the Blue Moon, the weather was still so nice that we decided to check out Allen Street, Jason Pomeranc's newest NYC boutique hotel in the LES, shown here from the Orchard Street "entrance."

A while back we gave the hotel a predicted opening of December 2008. Even though they broke ground on the lot, (a year ago) that date still stands for now, especially given Pomeranc's notorious ways of hotel hyping before there's even a hotel for people to stay in.

And the fact that we were there on a Friday mid-morning and nobody was even near this lot.
