[Ed. Note: Here is the Bad Rate in our Good Rate/Bad Rate feature. This screen shot was taken April 4, 2006 and is always subject to change. Enjoy.]
We understand that in New York you pay for your space and while the W Union Square does have larger hotel rooms that most in the city, a rate of $479 a night just doesn't sit well with us.
Yes, yes, we understand--the location is great. But need we remind you that the hotel has no free wifi in the rooms? And the taxes alone will cost you more dollars with state and city taxes along with occupany and state occupancy taxes. That's right. Four different taxes for one room per night. Which is the same for all hotel rooms in NYC but puts your room cost over $500. And if you are looking for double beds the price goes up to $509.
Not all of us can afford to live like Nick Lachey.
