Is A Kimpton Still Opening in Los Angeles?

If you look very closely at this picture, past the tree branches, you will see that this is no longer a sign for the Double Tree Hotel in Westwood, near UCLA.

Instead, the hotel's new name is The Westwood on Wilshire. Which confuses us because a few months ago, Kimpton announced they were turning this place into a Hotel Palomar Los Angeles.

Perhaps since the building is shutting down this summer, The Westwood is just a temporary name for the place until it reopens in 2007.

But if you readers have the inside scoop let us know what's happening here.
