Last week was all about the opening of the Red Rocks Las Vegas Resort. Now we have photographic evidence of the opening festivities, which our faithful but camera deficient spy could not provide.

As you can see, Randy Gerber and supermodel wife Cindy Crawford got down at the opening of the hotel's nightclub, Cherry. Judging from the gigantic cartoonish cherry out front, we are guessing this is Randy's foray into a pop art bar scene.

But he should probably be focusing on other things--like his wife. Cindy was grinding at the party with Jim Belushi (random!) and the photo makes us feel slightly uncomfortable because Cindy looks kinda into it.

    Actually, That's a Murakami Cherry ...

from the 2nd line (after the Multicolore) Takashi Murakami created for Louis Vuitton, "Monogram Cerises".  I thought you "Hotel Chatter" folks would be hip to that.

And yes, that picture of Cindy C. is disturbing.  Maybe this is the agreement she and Randy have after his tabloid reports of infidelity (every time he opens a new cluib, from what I understand).

    Those LV Cherry bags

are sooo last season and Carmen Electra never carries hers around any more. That's probably more embarrassing for Randy now.

I have the Monogram Cerises key/coin purse ...

Because I love Murakami's illustrations and the cherries' expressions are very whimsical and fun.  When I bought an LV handbag, I bought a plain-vanilla monogram one so as to not over-do the trendy stuff.
