No Beauty Sleep for Beauty Queens
April 20, 2006 at 4:52 PM | 0 Comments
Just a day before the Miss USA pageant, hotel workers are protesting a proposed workload at the Wyndham Inner Harbor Hotel in Baltimore.
200 workers are set to protest out in front of the hotel today at about 4:30 p.m. saying that their new contract unfairly requires them to clean 17 rooms a day (instead of 16).
And with the hotel turning into a Sheraton later this year, the workers fear the "Sweet Sleepers" bed from Sheraton with its heavier mattress, heavy duvet covers and six to eight pillows. A spokesperson said the staff already has a high rate of injuries and the new bed will just add to that number.
So what's going to happen to the beauty queens? Will they still have fresh towels?
