UPDATE: Sagamore Saga Continues
We began reporting last week that the Sagamore Hotel was going through some changes. Yesterday, we learned that you had to make reservations via phone and that Thompson Hotels was definitely no longer running it.
Today, the Page Six reports that Jason Pomeranc has been having a tough go of the hotel biz lately.
The reason behind his split with the Sagamore is akin to the Demme/Roosevelt drama: he was having problems with the managing partners. So much trouble that he just dropped the hotel like it was a new song from Kevin Federline and filed a lawsuit, "alleging it was impossible to run the hotel because of constant interference."
Later today, Desires hospitality--manager of neighboring Betsy Ross Hotel and a few others in Miami-announced they have taken control of the Sagamore as its new managers.
However, Pomeranc is not really in the clear. He still needs to find a new nightlife scene for the Roosevelt, finish up Six Columbus, and get cracking on Allen Street and Thompson Beverly Hills.
Let's hope Pomeranc still has time for the ladies cuz we need some new photos.
We have a sneaking suspicion there might be more to this whole Pomeranc story. Anybody with information on the down-low, let us know what's really going on.
