Z for Zetter
New York magazine left the Big Apple to do some exploring in other cities ("For Serious Travelers Only".) When they landed across the pond in London, they found The Zetter Hotel to be "decidedly cheaper and chicer than Schrager's St. Martins Lane."
One guest has the full lowdown:
The room was really nice. Well laid out, a nice terrace with spectacular view and a nice sized bathroom. The shower was a rain dance shower and I didn't want to get out! The bed was comfy, hot water bottle - nice touch although not needed! The room had air con settings which was nice and there were nice quirky extras such as Time Out, books and other magazines.
The downside is that while the place is just about $18 more than the nearby Holiday Inn, ($208 for a weekend room) their food is expensive with one slice of toast costing nearly $5.
