Viva Vegas: The Venetian's Tao Hotspot

Ahh...it's almost like being in Venice right? But with some fake, chlorinated water, American accents, and an indoor shopping mall with a painted-on sky.
Welcome to the The Venetian. This all-suites hotel set out to recreate your idyllic trip to Venice minus the Italians and the birds. Originally known for its gondola rides complete with singing gondoliers in and out of the hotel, the Venetian is getting considerably more press these days for its hotspot, Tao.
More pictures after the jump.

Tao has an unimpressive location at the front entrance across from the Venetian souvenir shop, but deep inside is where celebrity debauchery has been happening of late, including the birthday party for Kevin Federline, held by his baby-dropping wife Britney Spears.

The entry way to the restaurant has cool tubs with flower petals thrown in them and candles lit up all around. The rest of the place is very Buddha-inspired with a menu full of Hong Kong Chinese, Japanese and Thai dishes.
At the adjoining Tao Nightclub there's a 40 foot long outside terrace in the back with views of the strip, and inside go-go dancers (of course), and two rooms playing different dance music.

For the true VIP, there's eight private skyboxes to rent out that come with with mini-bars, espresso machines, and "banquettes featuring secured purse drawers."
Hear that Paris? You will never lose your Sidekick or million-dollar bling here.
