Viva Vegas: MGM's West Wing

MGM Grand has undergone some big changes in the past few years. Mainly by adding new nightlife to their casino, exclusive restaurants and dazzling shows (KA by Cirque du Soleil is not to be missed.) The hotel has also added some new life by tacking on newer room accomodations.
One such addition is the West Wing, the boutique style hotel within the hotel, complete with its own entrance and cool-looking bar. Essentially, these rooms are hipper. They come with a king bed, flat screen TV's, DVD player, Bose wave radio and a bathroom TV. Yet the rooms are substantially smaller so forget trying to fit a whole entourage in there.
Recent guests have called the rooms at the West Wing, the smallest in Vegas, similar to NYC rooms and one called it a glorified motel.
More photos after the jump.

In addition, the West Wing rooms aren't completely separated from the hotel's Grand Tower as our pictures show.

And while the site says rates starting at $89.99, you'd be hard pressed to find a room under $200 through the summer. Also, you still have to check-in at the main lobby/zoo and put up with probably one of the smokiest and crowded casinos on the strip.
