Condé Nast Hot List, Part 2: Cosmopolitan Hotel

Condé Nast Traveller Hot List 2006 has deemed only one hotel in Canada hot enough for their exlusive list.

The Cosmopolitan Toronto Hotel is for the Zen and Yoga enthusiast. All of the hotel's 97 suites come with "a Yoga mat, a list of incense and energy gemstones, floor-to-ceiling windows to create 'light energy' and a natural gemstone fountain."

So it seems that in the end the Zen-goodness was able to trump the bad guest reviews we reported last fall.

Indeed, more and more guests are liking the spot:

Was surprised to find a washer/dryer with detergent available in the 1 bedroom suite. The hotel still needs a fully functioning bar/restaurant and there was still construction work for the ever-developing Shizen spa... but otherwise, if you need a place close to businesses in area, you won't go wrong with Cosmopolitan.

Hmm...so Condé Nast's Hot List doesn't necessarily mean full-service.

(FYI: This hotel has no relation to the Cosmopolitan in Tribeca.)
