Vera Wang Suite Part of Oscar Swag

The sad thing about the Oscars is that practically everything else aside from the actual award ceremony is interesting from the pre and post parties to the Oscar swag bags.

Word on the streets today is that the 22 presenters for the evening were given a $100,000 gift basket for their "efforts."  

Inside the basket was a chance to stay at the Vera Wang suite in the Halekulani Resort in Waikiki, Hawaii.

The suite is typically $4,450 a night, or as one observant traveler pointed out, $3.33 a minute from check-in to check-out. But we are guessing the presenters will get it for free or for a very nominal fee.

The gift basket also held use of a top-of-the-range Cadillac for two weeks and the chance to host a party catered by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck at their home.
