Hard Rock Goes to Rockies
As if San Diego, weren't enough. Hard Rock Hotel announced yesterday that they would be building yet another condo-hotel--this time at the ski resort in Copper Mountain, Colorado.
The lowdown is that the hotel will cost $80 million to build and will have 320 rooms. There will be a restaurant, bar, and a multilevel swimming pool. Of course, all the rooms will be outfitted with the latest technology for music listening and there will be "ski roadies," to help you transport your ski gear to and from the mountain.
So now that you're interested, when will it open? Well, construction is expected to being in 2007, then:
"We're going to open that baby two years from then," said Trevor Horwell, Hard Rock Hotels vice president. "It's really going to be something that is quite unique in Colorado."
The hotel will also be the first year-round hotel at Copper Mountain. We fully expect the Flying Tomato there on opening day.
