Tropicana to Close?

Page Six reports that the celebrity hook-up spot Tropicana Bar, inside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel might be closing.

The owners of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel seem fed up with Amanda Demme, director Ted Demme's widow, who operates Teddy's and the Tropicana there, and have told her they're dissolving her contract.

Some of the reasons why they are "fed up" are the underage drinking (sorry Olsen twins, Mischa and Lindsay), noise violations, discrimination against hotel guests, and racial discrimation against an NFL football and a well-known Jewish club promoter.

And the whole Kid Rock beating up a fan incident probably didn't help either.

While this is all bad news for Demme it's also pretty bad news for the upcoming W Las Vegas who has hired her to do the nightlife within the hotel.
